This wall mural depicts floating green leaves on a purple background with the phrase: “Squamish is Awesome”, painted by youths at the Squamish campground.
It was an honour to facilitate and inspire a wonderful group of 12 kids in Squamish in the Summer camp provided through the Squamish Arts Council in July 2018, and paint this mural together. The children picked the typography of Squamish is Awesome and the honey bees to bring their collective ideas together to represent Squamish.”
Ciarra Saylor Douglas is a professional artist, illustrator & graphic designer with a degree in Communication and Visual Design from Emily Carr University. She has been painting and creating 2 dimensional works for many years, exhibiting in Canada and Internationally.
Her love of the arts and her enthusiasm for life has paved a path into teaching adults and children.
