Description

A large seacan at the BMX track is the canvas for this mural of a red, snarling mountain lion in profile, reaching out with a swiping paw, surrounded by a background of blue bike elements – a chain and discs.

Alex Wigley lives in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. His artistic career started with painting graffiti in Toronto, Ontario where he grew up. Alex began his tattoo career under the mentorship of Justin Ormiston in 2015, in Whistler, BC. He now works as a full time Tattooer specializing in illustrative tattooing, and paints murals and canvases while off from tattooing. He works at Electric Uprising, a private by-appointment only studio and art collective, in Squamish.

Alex’s goal in art is to tell a story, and to invite the viewer to explore a different narrative than usual. Through his visual stories he takes us on a journey to explore characters that are unique and creative. Anything is possible in art, and exploring that concept is the ultimate artistic goal for him.
